About the role

Dive into the dynamic world of finance as a Tax Finance Analyst with Reckitt. Responsible for mastering the delicate balance between tax compliance and optimisation, your role is crucial in supporting our financial health. Your insights and expertise will proactively shape our strategic financial direction. With your analytical acumen, you are set to support profitability and efficiency within our esteemed finance team.

Your responsibilities

  • Alongside the International Senior Tax Manager and Tax Manager, support with the management of global outsourced direct tax compliance activities for Essential Home;
  • Play a key part in ensuring tax compliance across corporate tax, working closely with external advisors to ensure timely submission of direct tax filings;
  • Work closely with Finance on operational transfer pricing activities;
  • Business partnering with finance and non-finance teams to identify and escalate tax risks and embed tax in day to day operations, in line with the operating model;
  • Support Group Head of Tax in managing Group effective tax rate (“ETR”);
  • Complete tax risk assessments of new initiatives and exploring tax opportunities;
  • Embedding best practice processes, controls and governance in line with the Essential Home group tax strategy;
  • Maintain completeness and accuracy in the reporting of current and deferred tax balances;
  • Keeping abreast of tax technical developments across the Essential Home markets;
  • Provide support to the International Tax Senior Manager and Group Head of Tax on international tax matters, controversy including local tax audits and engagement with the Tax Authorities;
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, including Financial Controllers, Finance Directors and shared functions, as well as with external stakeholders.

The experience we're looking for

  • Accountancy qualification - Chartered Accountant and / or Tax Qualified – essential
  • Direct tax experience – essential
  • Strong Dutch corporate tax experience
  • Experience in managing transfer pricing matters – desirable
  • Experience in international tax matters and controversy – desirable
  • Competent using SAP – desirable
  • FMCG sector experience – desirable
  • Big 4 trained – desirable
  • Approx 3+ yrs of experience
  • Fluency in English

The skills for success

Business partnering: develops effective business relationships; works successfully within the finance and non-finance teams to ensure that tax issues are taken into consideration and are understood.

Fiscal: understands and interprets tax technical information to apply to commercial understanding gained under business partnering responsibilities to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Systems knowledge: is familiar with the types of systems (e.g. SAP) that are used by a multinational enterprise as part of a financial management cycle, comfortable in utilising these systems and analysing the data extracted.

Financial Accounting: understands how financial accounts are prepared, can analyse those accounts to determine their tax impact. Deep understanding of IFRS and Dutch GAAP tax accounting.

A successful candidate will need to be an enthusiastic self-starter who can work effectively across different tax disciplines in a global role of a fast-paced multinational group, with the ability to work independently and as part of an international team, communicating effectively with local and global stakeholders.
