Working at Atlassian
Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.
As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will actively work to improve the performance and reliability of Atlassian Analytics and our Analytics Visualization Platform, expand our system to handle new system capabilities, scale to support growing usage by customers and adoption in new Atlassian products, and address root causes of incidents and reduce incident rates.
The best person for this role is someone who has a collaborative spirit - in our world, it’s not about being a hero and having all the answers, it’s about sometimes saying "I don't know" and working on finding solutions rather than starting with an assumption.
The team needs someone who can ask questions, learn from others and turn chaos into order. You will serve in an on-call weekly rotation to make sure our products meet established SLO targets.
This role would be a great fit for someone with creative and innovative problem-solving skills with a willingness to take responsibility for the code you write all the way to production. You will own development efforts, from planning to delivery to realize this goal and collaborate with different team members to review code.
One thing we promise: you’ll never be bored.
On your first day, you will have experience in:
Strong coding/scripting experience - we don't want you doing repetitive work!
Serious troubleshooting skills across different levels of the stack
Maintaining a high standard of code quality
Understanding of Linux systems
Experience configuring and managing enterprise monitoring/metrics/logging solutions
Building, automating, and maintaining infrastructure in Amazon Web Services with infrastructure as code
Maintaining and troubleshooting continuous integration / continuous delivery pipelines in support of development teams
We'd be super excited if you have experience in:
Managing deployed Python and/or Java systems in production
Breaking down complex projects to evolve a production system
Experience with compliance requirements (SOC2, FedRamp, etc)
