In this role, you will focus on stock in our stores, warehouses, and distribution centers, in all countries in which Action operates. 🌍

Your daily tasks

Nobody will know Action's stock as well as you. As a Junior Controller, you will soon learn everything you need to know about the flow of goods, margins, stock levels, product availability, damaged goods, and other stock discrepancies. The ocean freight market and the performance of the various components of our logistic chain such as HUBs and cross dock facilities will be familiar territory for you. Your goal will be to run analyses that lead to improvements. You will take a deep dive into product data and use it to prepare and support business cases, forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans.

You won't be taking this on alone, of course. You will review the processes, strengthen internal controls, and put forward recommendations. Thanks to your commitment, we will carry out our own assessments of checks in good time, with all stakeholders quickly following up on actions arising from the internal audits.

Meet your team:

You will be part of our Group Business Control team, which is based at Action's international headquarters in Zwaagdijk-Oost. We not only provide key management information, but our analysis also provides significant process optimization. Our team’s financial advice supports and challenges the business in various areas, such as Store Operations, Supply Chain, Real Estate, and Commerce.

This is you

You enjoy analyzing large data sets, how processes work, what data means, and problem-solving. Translating big data into business insights gives you great satisfaction and motivates you to take processes and reports to the next level. You know how to approach issues, have good communication skills, enjoy working in a team, and are bursting with energy. At the same time, you are well organized, able to structure activities and projects quickly, and know how to set priorities.

You also have the following:

• A Bachelor's/Master’s degree in business analytics or economics
• Familiarity with BI Systems, SAP, and HFM is an asset
• Excellent command of English (Dutch proficiency highly preferred).
