We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the development of one or more internal applications within our data platform. This platform enables teams across Albert Heijn to perform data ingestion, data engineering, reporting, and data governance activities efficiently and securely.

Together with your team of (Product Owners & Developers) you will work on inspiring projects to accelerate our transition into a hybrid Food & Tech company. We are looking for a Product Owner to lead the development of one or more internal applications within our data platform. This platform enables teams across Albert Heijn to perform data ingestion, data engineering, reporting, and data governance activities efficiently and securely.

You will work closely with the Head of Product, your development team, and other product owners to shape and execute a clear application strategy. You’ll collaborate with teams building other parts of the platform to ensure your applications integrate seamlessly and contribute to a smooth, self-service experience for both data producers and data consumers.

What You’ll Do

  • Define and drive the roadmap for the applications you manage, ensuring alignment with business goals and the technical foundations of the platform.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to gather requirements and translate them into actionable features.
  • Prioritize and manage your backlog, balancing user needs with technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with development teams to deliver high-impact solutions such as orchestration APIs, user-friendly front-end tools, and automated onboarding capabilities.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other applications on the platform to support end-to-end data flows.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by incorporating stakeholder feedback and usability insights into your application roadmap.
  • Enable teams across the organization to work with data in a self-service and compliant manner.
  • Use data and usage metrics to validate product decisions, measure impact, and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • An annual salary up to 108k including holiday allowance and a flexible bonus. Depending on your level of seniority and experience;

  • Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role in a data-driven or platform environment.
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms and the key principles of self-service data platforms.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate business needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Experience working in agile development environments and managing application roadmaps.
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for building scalable, user-friendly internal tools that unlock value across the organization.
