About the Production department

The Production & Assembly team is part of the Innovations Department and is responsible for transforming technical specifications into products that are certified, reliable and of excellent quality. Moreover, the team oversees the Production Facility in Rotterdam and the accompanying framework to facilitate a safe working environment. You will be part of a dedicated sub-team fully focusing on managing and improving our Ampelmann designs to make sure drawings and specifications are up-to-date and readily available for re-production. The current team consists of a Production Coordinator, two Mechanical Design Draftsmen, and a work student.

Your role as Electrical Design Coordinator

As an Electrical Design Coordinator, you will be the key specialist in our electrical product designs, playing an important role in ensuring their quality and efficiency. You will support the testing phase, review electrical designs, and act as a vital link between internal stakeholders and electrical suppliers to streamline communication and coordination. Your expertise will be instrumental in overseeing and continuously improving our electrical Line Products designs, working closely with the design owner to update and enhance them. By leveraging your knowledge, you will drive continuous improvement in the electrical aspects of our renowned products. Additionally, you will ensure that our Line Products Electrical Schematics (e-plan) remain up-to-date, optimized, and incorporate the latest engineering innovations, contributing to the smoothest possible production process. In this role you will report to the Team Lead Line Products Designs.

Regular activities

  • Keep our Line Products Electrical schematics (e-plan) up to latest standards.
  • Liaise with electrical engineering suppliers to make sure our designs are up-to-date and available during our production process.
  • Support our Field Control Engineers, Production Engineers, and Technicians during different phases of assembly and testing guiding them through our electrical schematics and gathering improvements points.
  • Drive improvements in our electrical schematics and have a tangible impact on our assets.
  • Review and accept new Line Products from our Innovation department evaluating the quality of the deliverables from the Innovation projects.

We ask

  • A vocational background (MBO or HBO) in Electrical Design, Electrotechnics, Electrical Installation, or similar, and 2 - 4 years of relevant experience in the electrical field (Electrical Design, Production Planner, Electrical Drafts(wo)man or -Technician, etc.)
  • Experience with electrical schematics, familiar with electrical installation projects, coordinator & project management, or related electrical skills
  • Experience with software such as E-plan, CAD, SolidWorks, or AutoDesk
  • Fluency in English is requested, Dutch is a plus
  • You are accountable, a strong communicator and a social person, able to interact with different stakeholders both in and outside the company
