Introduction to the job

Within ASML, the role of our Strategy & ESG Office is to advise, align and facilitate the Board of Management and Core Executive Team to define and execute ASML's strategy by providing strategic insights and value creation opportunities to help shape ASML's future.

Role and responsibilities

The Sr. Strategy Manager will drive multi-disciplinary projects that answer cross-Business Line strategy questions regarding markets, products, technologies, competitors, or business models.

  • Lead multi-disciplinary projects to address strategy topics on request of ASML executives. For example: identify trends in customer roadmaps and competitor moves, and define how ASML should respond by defining and aligning project scope, building the team, leading the project, contributing to content creation, and presenting to Business Line executive leadership.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic business plans. Examples of activities are co-creation of strategic analyses and proposals together with senior product management and business and technology stakeholders; planning and preparing review meetings with Business Line executives; and preparing materials to facilitate strategy discussions between Core Executive Team or Board of Management members.

Education and experience

  • 15+ years of working experience in the semiconductor or another high tech industry.
  • MSc in technical field.
  • Experience in a strategy role in a large international company or as a strategy consultant, possibly complemented with an MBA.
  • A technical background and experience in strategy development, business or marketing.
  • Ability to translate data and observations into implications and strategies for ASML’s business.
  • Deep understanding of how our customers use lithography in their fab processes.

  • You thrive in a demanding, high-paced, and ever-changing environment, and take initiative in sometimes ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent ability to zoom-in & zoom-out when answering strategic questions.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
