Zurich Benelux has an excellent opportunity for a Global Relationship Leader. Do you have a strong experience in long-term relationship management or a solid background as a Global Relationship Leader? Do you distinguish yourself by ensuring long value-driven relations, act as a facilitator and strategic thinker, and are able to connect easily with multiple stakeholders? You have a focused view on strategic relationship management and are keen on building bridges?

Together with the internal Zurich stakeholders, you will form, steer, and lead the customer relationship team to effectively deliver the Global Corporate customer Value Proposition and desired customer experience by maximizing the acquisition and retention of business to meet the set financial and operational targets.

This role will be based in our office in either The Hague, Netherlands or Zaventem, Belgium, with potential opportunities for exposure in both countries.

Your role:

• Successfully meet the annual planning for the Relationship Customer segment by reaching the annual financial and operational targets for customer portfolios.
• Build relationships with key customers and key brokers and negotiate and finalize strategic agreements and terms of business.
• Institutionalize relationships across customer and/or broker teams and at all appropriate levels in the Zurich organization.
• Adopt Relationship Management Best Practices and share and drive these internally.
• Identify, analyze, and secure business development opportunities and monitor performance and highlight patterns with reliable processes.
• Help develop an effective communication and relationship program and ensure proper execution with the Zurich Benelux’s business plans.
• Implement and drive the sales and distribution elements of the business plan, working with key functions (e.g., marketing, underwriting) to develop market-focused initiatives aligned to wider strategy.
• Design and implement business process standards by delivering directed programs and campaigns.
• Build targeted growth opportunities (e.g., development of the distribution network and tenders working with local businesses) and lead Global Sales and Distribution within Benelux.
• Drive cross-sell opportunities across Zurich from within the portfolio of customers and prospects.

What we are looking for:

• Bachelor or master degree and 7 or more years of experience in Customer Relationship Management.
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, both in verbal and written communication skills, with French being an added benefit.
• Influencing skills, especially externally focused with good negotiating skills with external contacts.
• Experienced methodology of planning, focus, and discipline.
• Excellent facilitator in strategic long-term relationships.
• Value creator and value-driven.
• Cherish model behaviors to demonstrate commitment to corporate values.
• Ability to provide technical direction and advice within and outside of the organization.
