Your Responsibilities as a Junior Software Engineer, you will:

  • Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
  • Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while following best practices.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Collaborate with product owners/specialists, data engineers, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • System Optimization: Improve system performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Troubleshooting & Debugging: Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth operation of backend systems.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contribute to process improvements, automation, and optimization of development workflows.

Hej, my name is Aysenur. I work as an Engineering Manager within the Order Promise and Allocation subdomain at IKEA. Our team takes full ownership of their services, from development to deployment and maintenance. Our product is focused on improving the accuracy and consistency of the availability and lead time promise for the home delivery and collection options, adding flexibility and accuracy in handling picking capacity more efficiently, enabling a more efficient, flexible and transparent return process. At the same time, we give a lot of customization power to each market in the way this should behave.
