This internship will focus on defining and designing a comprehensive Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for our Global IT Services landscape for the Global Connected Service department.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Business Management Intern to join our team. This internship will focus on defining and designing a comprehensive Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for our Global IT Services (GCS). The intern will play a crucial role in establishing processes to maintain and visualize the CMDB, as well as exploring integration options with our current Enterprise Service Management (ESM) solution.

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Collaborate with GCS Delivery management to gather requirements and define the scope of the CMDB project.
• Design the structure and components of the CMDB to effectively represent IT assets and services.
• Develop processes for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the CMDB.
• Create visualizations and dashboards to represent data from the CMDB for various stakeholders.
• Research and evaluate options for integrating the CMDB into the organization's existing ESM solution.
• Assist in documenting processes, workflows, and best practices related to CMDB management.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving IT service management practices.
• Present findings and recommendations to the GCS Delivery management team at the end of the internship.

Jouw profiel

We are looking for a student in the educational direction of IT, Information management, or a related field. Level could be either MBO or HBO.

Furthermore:

• Strong communication in the English language;
• Proactive, energetic and creative;
• Experience with IT processes, knowledge ITIL, USM
• Familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Afdeling

Global Connected Services Europe is a dynamic and growing part within the organization of DAF Trucks. It is responsible for services based data derived from the truck. In order to support the best service possible the team of Service Delivery and Operations manage the IT Landscape together with in-/external suppliers.
