IT Data Engineer

Step into the world of data and analytics at ABN AMRO as a Data Engineer, where you'll seamlessly integrate data solutions into our complex environment.

Your job

Your role will involve shaping our data landscape by developing and refining data needs and platforms. You'll enhance data sourcing and quality, working closely with CISO / Platform & Technologies to implement robust data solutions. Key tasks include establishing a future-proof data architecture, unlocking necessary data, and creating data pipelines for analysis. Collaborate with senior engineers to train junior team members and ensure alignment with internal and external standards.

Join the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO) at ABN AMRO, a leader in securing information for the bank and its clients. As a part of the Central Data Store team, you’ll drive data-driven strategies within CISO / Platform & Technologies. Our dynamic team of 10 values cooperation and enthusiasm, making work both impactful and enjoyable.

Your profile

You really need to match the following requirements:

Hard skills

• You have at least 4 years of relevant work experience, with a relevant HBO / WO study.
• You have experience in working with complex data sets, tools and components within data architecture.
• You have experience transforming data using SQL, Python and Spark.
• You have extensive experience with improving data quality, reliability and efficiency.
• You have extensive experience with data integration activities (ETL).
• You have extensive experience working with cloud solutions, preferably Azure and Databricks.
• You are fluent in English

Soft skills

• You are focused on collaboration, innovation and achieving goals.
• Stakeholder management

It would be nice if you recognize yourself in the following requirements as well:

• You have experience working in a DevOps team.
• You have experience working in an Agile environment.
• Fluency in Dutch
