About the Company

About the Role

OMA’s Rotterdam office is looking for a Junior Business Developer to join our Business Development department. The Business Development department works closely with design teams and office management to actively research and acquire projects worldwide, with a focus on Europe and MENA.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the assessment of potential new projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFI’s, RFQ’s RFP’s and Client proposals.
  • Maintain a continuous overview of potential projects and efforts.
  • Assist in maintaining our CRM database.
  • Assist in proactive market research.
  • Organize, maintain, and update project information sheets, CVs, project portfolios, and presentations.
  • Give active support to the Business Development Team, including Head of Business Development and Partners.
  • Prepare regular progress updates on a weekly basis or as needed.

Qualifications

  • MA/BA Degree in Architecture.
  • High proficiency in English, and ideally a second language (preferably German or French).
  • 2 years+ professional experience in acquisition required, preferably in the architecture, real estate or development field.
  • Experience in responding to RFI’s, RFQ’s, RFP’s, and client proposals.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Interest in and affinity with market research.
  • Hands-on approach, self-disciplined, pro-active and confident in a fast-paced international working environment.
  • Knowledge of OMA’s work and the architectural field in general.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office and Adobe Creative Suite with strong Illustrator and InDesign capabilities, demonstrated in a portfolio.
  • European work permit is preferred.
