The Explo and New Growth Spaces Lead is responsible for bringing the explo and new growth space agenda to life for the Adult Medical category. The person will play a pivotal role coordinating and driving the R&I needs with cross-functional partners to deliver the expand where we should be and seed the future agenda. The person will also be accountable to drive the decarbonisation agenda and expertise for the category.

This position is a critical position for the SN growth.

In this pivotal position in the Specialised Nutrition (SN) Global Adult Category team, you will be reporting into the Adult Explo and new Growth Space Director and you will have the following accountabilities and responsibilities:

• Co-build the explo strategy and pipeline for Adult category and zones. Establish a robust process, deliverables and governance instances to drive flawless execution.
• Contribute towards the evaluation of future acquisitions through R&I product, portfolio and capability lens.
• R&I category lead for the partnership program, ensure Category R&I solution requirements are translated into briefs. Drive progress of briefs and ensure systematic reporting to R&I explo governances.
• Act as SN R&I coordinator for Advance Technology and Science led programs, drive effective structure to ensure, strategic alignment with business priorities and delivery of key milestones.
• Champion sustainability and decarbonisation for the category, driving the category decarbonisation roadmap.
• Build culture and focus on IP generation and execution in projects
• Strategise the incorporation of trendscape and foresights into the category explo program.
• Work closely with the cross-functional exploration team on new benefits, new formats and new product features.
• Play critical connecting role with Countries where Adult innovations are deployed and/or produced
• Inspire and drive mindset shift towards holistic design for superiority.

You are a dedicated professional with a passion for driving Innovation, developing new ideas into commercial products, and new ways of thinking to serve the business and inspire teams towards excellence.

Your expertise:

• A MSc./PhD degree in Chemical engineering, Bio-Chemical engineering, Nutrition / Medical Sciences, Food technology, bioprocessing, or similar working/thinking level obtained via experience.​
• 10-year experience in Product Development / science or R&D environment.
• Expertise in translating consumers’ needs into products​.
• Excellence in Execution.
• Strategic thinking​.
• Deep understanding of R&I Function and Capabilities ​
• Communicates with clarity, conviction and credibility​
• Strong on own convictions to challenge others and can address challenges/issues with stakeholders​
• R&I/Scientific background (can grasp SN)​
• Passion for innovation, with creative and entrepreneur mindset.
