The Job’s Mission:
Stryker’s Neurovascular business is dedicated to developing innovative products and services for ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke to help save lives and improve patient outcomes.
As Senior Manager Marketing, you will manage a talented team of Product & Marketing Managers and drive market share growth for our Neurovascular business in EMEA – through the formulation and execution of strategic marketing plans.
Reporting directly to the Marketing Director of Neurovascular EMEA, this role can be based in any of our European locations: we offer workplace flexibility with a hybrid work model. What you will do:
- In your new role, you will start with a familiarization phase to learn about our portfolio and build relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
- Manage, lead, unify and motivate a team of Product & Marketing Managers (~8 direct reports): you will coach/develop your team to achieve their full potential and promote an environment that fosters individuals’ growth.
- In alignment with Global Marketing, you will lead your team to develop and execute the annual and long-term marketing strategy for Neurovascular EMEA to achieve required growth, profit and market share targets. You will coach/guide your team in this process to employ appropriate segmentation, targeting and positioning methods.
- Ensure clarity of communication across local marketing teams and, in doing so, facilitate alignment of the marketing strategy throughout EMEA.
- Lead and monitor strategy by region in EMEA on market access, government affairs and healthcare economic initiatives in collaboration with key stakeholders able to provide business enablement solutions.
- Establish/refine metrics to determine if marketing objectives have been effective in driving customer engagement. Understand P&L: develop a deep understanding of the financial performance of the Neurovascular business in EMEA.
- Identify opportunities and influence cross-regionally and cross-divisionally to drive growth and deliver enhanced customer value for our business.
- Work with country leadership to forecast demand and partner with supply chain accordingly.
- Develop key relationships with industry/market thought leaders, organizations, institutions, key customers, etc. generating strategic insights and deep understanding of customer needs.
- Collaborate with the Global Marketing team including on upstream marketing projects.
What you need:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree is required.
- 10+ years of work experience is required, of which a significant portion is in fields such as Marketing, Product/Brand Management etc. within industries such as MedTech, BioTech, Pharmaceuticals, healthcare or related.
- Proven track record in international marketing and extensive knowledge of product management processes, planning and execution.
- Experience in managing or coaching/mentoring teams is required (4+ years is preferred).
- Ability to accurately and effectively lead/manage (marketing) projects to ensure timely outcomes, business performance and growth.
- Excellent interpersonal communications, persuasion and presentation skills – with fluency in spoken and written English.
- You are a sophisticated collaborator and networker capable of leveraging these strengths and relationships effectively within a matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to stakeholders and customers from different markets and cultures.
- Strong strategic-thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies.
- Impeccable work ethics & integrity in managing confidential information.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint).
- Travel percentage: up to 40%.
