This is a transformative moment to join Heerema’s talent team! We’re launching new initiatives to redefine Talent Development, and your role as Project Manager Talent Development will be essential from set up to hands-on execution. You’ll manage key projects that drive implementation employee growth, organizational agility, and long-term success. At the same time, you will be the driving force of implementation.

From optimizing talent management and succession planning to establishing our new academy, you’ll lead with initiative, ensuring smooth implementation and stakeholder alignment. Your ability to engage, inspire, and collaborate across all levels will help achieve our ambitious people development goals.

Reporting to the People development lead, this role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, takes ownership, and turns ideas into actionable outcomes.

What you will be working on:

  • Lead the optimization and implementation of talent identification systems, such as the 9Grid, to spot and develop talent.
  • Design and execute career path frameworks to foster internal mobility and multi-skilled contractor capabilities.
  • Define and implement robust talent assessment criteria aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate succession planning processes to secure long-term organizational stability.
  • Introduce and embed advanced assessment tools to enhance employee development.
  • Develop and track talent management metrics to enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Ensure integration of talent management initiatives with performance management and other core People processes.
  • Proactively design and implement development initiatives based on assessment outcomes.

You will collaborate closely with our Manager Talent and our People development lead.

Is this the job for you?

Key ingredients for success:

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in HR Management, Education, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field combined with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful implementation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to influence and engage diverse teams.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
  • Knowledge of competency frameworks and talent assessment methodologies.
  • Experience implementing talent management processes, such as the 9Grid and succession planning.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and translate insights into impactful actions.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to engage and inspire stakeholders.
  • Currently residing in and eligible to work in the Netherlands.
