THE ROLE

As the Subcontract Manager at Damen Naval, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of subcontracting for assigned subcontracts within our naval shipbuilding projects. You will contribute your knowledge and experience to the selection and negotiation process and will lead the management of subcontractors to ensure that the project components are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also facilitate collaboration and interaction with clients.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and coordinating subcontractors and suppliers during project preparation and execution, focusing on short and medium-term goals.
• Ensuring compliance with all requirements and specifications, managing the change process, and maintaining strong subcontractor relationships.
• Overseeing integration activities and ensuring all project deliverables and obligations are met.
• Participating in reviews and milestones, such as FAT, HAT, and SAT, to ensure quality and compliance.
• Supporting evaluations and analyses to aid in project planning and execution.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience working on manufacturing large and complex (offshore) solutions.
• In possession of IMPA D or equivalent certification.
• Familiarity with engineering concepts and practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a (technical) business administration or relevant study.
• Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
• Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required. Candidates with EU (work) visa or with both an EU and non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible in accordance with the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
