ESG Accounting & Reporting Manager

Are you a technical accounting specialist that likes the challenge of implementing ESG reporting regulation, like CSRD, in a multi-national company? Within FrieslandCampina we're looking for an ESG accounting & reporting manager, who can play a crucial role in implementing CSRD and can develop a well-governed reporting process for our sustainability KPIs. FrieslandCampina will comply with CSRD for the first time in 2025. In line with our Sustainability Strategy, we acknowledge the importance of a well-governed ESG reporting process. To accelerate the implementation, we extend our Sustainability Finance team with this new role. As an ESG accounting & reporting manager, you're an effective professional that can work in a fast-changing environment. A team player like you can collaborate constructively with the other (Corporate) departments and the operating companies.

What we ask

  • Strong relation and communication skills in English and preferably in Dutch.
  • Hands-on mentality and team player
  • Business sense and knowledge of the business complexity
  • 5+ years work experience at one of the big 4 accounting firms or relevant work experience in a multinational corporate environment;
  • Proven experience and affinity with external reporting (Annual Report), CSRD experience and chartered accountant is a pré;
  • Result-oriented, analytical and pro-active;
  • Open, convincing, constructive and organization-sensitive;

Vacancy description

As ESG accounting & reporting manager your main tasks and responsibilities are:

  • Driving implementation of CSRD; Translating reporting requirements to practical implementation in the Annual Report; aligning with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including senior management.
  • Embed in-depth understanding of changing ESG reporting regulations in the organisation (global: CSRD, EU-taxonomy, CSDDD, local: ISSB); setting guidance and acting on best practices in the market.
  • Facilitating the external audit process.
  • Develop implementation roadmaps beyond 2025 to translate changing regulation into internal and external reporting processes.
  • Leading multidisciplinary teams (e.g. HR, sustainability, supply chain, data, finance) to integrate new ESG requirements in finance routines.
  • Understand interrelation of all ESG projects impacting data/reporting.

Team Details

You will be part of the Sustainability Finance team, consisting of four dedicated colleagues. The team is part of Corporate Accounting & Reporting and based in Amersfoort. The Sustainability Finance team cooperates on a daily basis with functional experts in the field of sustainability topics, like climate, nature, nutrition, social, governance, data/IT and finance. You will report to the senior manager ESG Accounting & Reporting.
