About the role

BYD is looking for a Senior HR Specialist.

Your HRM experience will help our organization in adding value to overall business objectives, providing HR solutions, resolving personnel grievances, retaining a talented workforce, and ensuring compliance with regulations. You are not only an administrative expert and a people champion, but also a change agent and a strategic partner for the business. You will provide advice to our management team regarding best practices to hire talent and maximize employee efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the Business Unit Management and the HR Manager to define a people strategy in line with the business strategy and design the employee journey;
  • Execution of HR processes – not only able to ensure strong deployment and impact of HR processes such as recruitment, talent management, performance management, headcount governance, and organizational design, but able to continuously assess the effectiveness of each in a rapidly-changing landscape;
  • Partner with leadership to coach, advise and influence managers in a consistent manner to attain successful HR outcomes;
  • Help build and maintain a high-performing culture;
  • Work with the management team in designing initiatives which bring to life and embed BYD values, as well as support employee engagement;
  • Work with HR management to create, drive, and manage strategic HR projects; participate in developing departmental goals, objectives, and solutions;
  • Collaborate with other HR team members in areas such as compensation, employee benefits, talent development and talent acquisition;
  • Be a key contributor to the wider HR team, working to develop people strategies that ensure that we attract, engage, enable and retain our employees.

Your daily activities will be:

  • Developing HR strategies, policies, and practices;
  • Recruiting the talents for the business unit;
  • Improving and monitoring employee productivity;
  • Structuring compensation and benefit packages;
  • Managing staff wellness initiatives;
  • Evaluating staffing needs;
  • Engaging with heads of department;
  • Managing complex and difficult HR Projects cross-functionally;
  • Actively identifying gaps, proposing and implementing changes necessary to cover risks;
  • Facilitating the management team to bring best solutions for employees.

Your profile:

  • 5 years of working experience as HRBP, in a fast-moving industry, preferably in automotive;
  • Education in HR, business administration, organizational psychology or another related field;
  • A good understanding of the many disciplines within HR, including strategic planning, recruitment, diversity and inclusion, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management;
  • Excellent English and Chinese language skills;
  • Excellent stakeholder management and able to establish good work relationships across the organization;
  • Able to understand data interpretation, collection, and creation;
  • Great communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Good change management and project management capabilities.
