About Us:
At Booking.com, data drives our decisions. Technology is at our core. And innovation is everywhere. But our company is more than datasets, lines of code or A/B tests. We’re the thrill of the first night in a new place. The excitement of the next morning. The friends you encounter. The journeys you take. The sights you see. And the memories you make. Through our products, partners and people, we make it easier for everyone to experience the world.

Role Description:

As a Principal Product Manager (PPM) in the Privacy Engineering Office, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of privacy and consent management at Booking.com. We are committed to and prioritize trust, fairness, and transparency in the way we operate our platform. This role will act as an integral part of our commitment to upholding these values.

As privacy regulations continue to evolve globally, we are looking for an experienced Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of platform capabilities across consent management, privacy notices, and data subject rights domains. You will collaborate closely with engineering, legal, and other cross-functional teams to ensure our privacy solutions meet the highest standards and align with our strategic goals.

Role Description:

  • Own the product vision, strategy, goals, success metrics, and roadmap for the Privacy Engineering Office.
  • Maintain a prioritization framework to facilitate clear decision-making, balancing customer needs, user experience, product quality, business value, technical feasibility, and risk.
  • Partner with Legal, Product, and Engineering across the organization and provide strategic support for key initiatives and meeting new and existing regulatory requirements.
  • Solve customer, partner, and stakeholder problems; gather data (health metrics, competitive intelligence, business metrics) to inform product direction and embrace feedback.
  • Explain and support technical solutions, liaising with technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 8+ years of relevant product management experience, with a strong track record of solving complex, technical problems across large organizations
  • Deep understanding of privacy regulations (DMA, PIPL, GDPR, CCPA) and privacy solution development, including experience with compliance frameworks and legal documentation in e-commerce.
  • Able to work cross-functionally and drive alignment towards shared goals.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills; able to bring clarity to unknown problem space using data-driven decision making
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to align diverse stakeholders and drive consensus.
  • Experience evaluating risks or overseeing processes where regulatory, legal, or compliance considerations are critical.
