The role

As Integration Engineer HVAC Requirements Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of projects of Damen Naval projects by defining and managing system requirements for HVAC-R systems.

You will work closely with engineering, verification & validation, and test & integration teams, will manage requirements using IBM Rational DOORS and serve as a vital link within the Systems Engineering V-model. This position emphasizes technical administration and collaboration, making it essential for the seamless development of advanced naval vessels.

Key accountabilities

As Integration Engineer HVAC Requirements Management, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and documenting system requirements using IBM Rational DOORS and ensuring compliance with SMART criteria.
  • Ensuring HVAC-R system requirements are accurately populated in DOORS to support engineering, V&V, and T&I activities.
  • Handling change requests and ensuring modifications are correctly processed in the V-model to maintain up-to-date connections across teams.
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure requirements and changes are communicated and implemented effectively.
  • Analyzing and managing data to support the requirements phase of projects.
  • Organizing documentation and ensuring streamlined processes within the team.

Skills & experience

As Damen Naval we are looking for candidates for the vacancy Integration Engineer HVAC Requirements Management with the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering, Shipbuilding, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in requirements and change management in technical environments.
  • Familiarity with IBM Rational DOORS or similar requirements management tools and knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Strong technical proficiency, analytical thinking, organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent teamwork abilities.
  • Excellent command of the Dutch, German and English language written and verbal.
  • Excellent references, as a security screening is part of the hiring process.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.
  • Candidates with EU (work) visa or with (also) a non-EU nationality and/or passport are not eligible given the requirements imposed by the military nature of our projects.
