We are continuously working on creating a better future, and we need great minds to reach that goal thus we're looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer/PLC programmer with experience in programming our machines to expand our teams in Nieuwkuijk and Boxmeer. You are part of a team of 10 software engineers that is located in both Denmark and the Netherlands.

As a Software Engineer you work closely with all other team members within Innovation, like Electrical Engineers, Project Managers and Mechanical Engineers.

As a Software Engineer/PLC programmer at Marel, you have the freedom to take initiative and make a real impact in a growing global company.

As part of your daily responsibility, you will::

• Collaborate with the innovation team to design and develop machines for the food industry.
• Work with software from multiple vendors: e.g. B&R, Schneider, Beckhoff, SigmaTEK (Lasal, Sigmatek's development environment, based on Structured Text with an OOP architecture).
• Maintain and optimize communication protocols like Modbus, OPC-UA, and OpenCan.
• Further standardize our library to improve efficiency and ease of maintenance.
• Perform evaluations, testing and analyses at customer site
