Software Test Architect

The function

The continuous growth of Sioux provides many opportunities for people with ambition. In our team of testers, we have opportunities open for software test architects. In this role, you define how the software of a system needs to be tested, by:

• Identifying test levels, quality gates & acceptance criteria
• Designing and owning dedicated test environments and required infrastructure
• Defining the test automation architecture and managing the development process

At Sioux, you work on projects that develop various products. You do this both at our offices as well as on site with our customers. Besides, you help develop and grow our test processes, vision, and competence.

You love your job, and you have an unmistakable passion for testing software for advanced systems. You are ambitious and want to work in the high-tech industry. You like a challenge with broad responsibility and impact. You enjoy working in a team and getting the most out of it together. You have a hands-on mentality and are not afraid to face people that challenge your vision (both, peers, and management). You know your way around software architecture, design, interfaces and related technologies and tools. You keep up with the latest developments in the testing community and you like to share your knowledge and experience.

• You have experience in a multi-disciplinary environment where software interacts with other disciplines like mechanics and electronics
• You have a technical education (e.g., computer science or electrical engineering) in the form of a bachelor or master’s degree
• You are ISTQB certified on advanced level
• You are creative and have at least 6 years of experience in software testing and test automation in a technical environment
• You are familiar with one or more popular programming and scripting languages, specifically Python and/or C#
• You have knowledge of test strategies, TDD and BDD concepts and know the Gherkin language
• You know model based testing concept and have worked with it or are eager to develop your modeling skills
• You are familiar with various development methods and technologies (Real-time, Design Patterns, UML, Agile, etc.)
