BG OT Engineer

Within our Global Supply Chain organization, we are looking for Business Group OT Engineers, the newest addition to our Global OT team. As BG OT Engineer, your focus will be to monitor, evaluate and improve the OT Performance of our factories. With 50 factories worldwide and a diverse OT landscape, we will need your expertise to help the local OT teams in developing and executing OT strategies, based on the perceived risks and asset life cycle information.

Key challenge for this role is combining in-depth knowledge of the OT Landscape, a very good understanding of the FrieslandCampina businesses and organizational skills to connect to different stakeholders, internally and externally.

Wat we vragen

Description of the ideal candidate would be:

  • Having a bachelor's or master's degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field;
  • Has Medium to Senior-level of knowledge & experience in OT engineering and automation platforms, preferably in a related industry;
  • Understanding of impact of OT systems on production processes (e.g. EHEDG, ATEX, HACCP, HAZOP);
  • Sound knowledge of OT relevant standards (ITIL, ISA88, ISA95, ISA99, GAMP, ISA62443, NEN3140) and how to apply those;
  • Sound knowledge of OT Security (NIS2, NIST2.0, Incident Management) and how to handle data (database management, secure extraction from OT domain to external platforms, system performance).

Main purpose of the role is to ensure OT business continuity of our sites and unlock future opportunities. This is achieved by ensuring the availability of site OT through measures that mitigate cybersecurity, business risks, and obsolescence threats via OT maintenance, monitoring, and operational solutions. Additionally, this is accomplished by proactively implementing OT-ITIL activities from the OT Service Catalogue to assist site and BG OT managers in their decision-making processes.

The role owns and protects the site OT architecture and ensures the modifications to the architecture are aligned with company standards and can be embedded in and maintained by the standing OT maintenance organization. Focus should be on all OT systems (Level 0-3.5 according to ISA95 model) and a medium to long term horizon (1-3y to +25y).

The following main tasks are derived from the OT Service Catalogue:

  • OT Infrastructure
  • OT Maintenance, Monitoring & Technical Support
  • OT Data Analytics
  • OT Application Services
  • Security
  • Policy & Standards

Internal/External stakeholders:

  • Is expected to build and maintain relationships and work closely with internal colleagues and customers to communicate operational issues. E.g. the Global and Local OT teams, different support departments like Digital and IT, relevant external parties likes: OEMs and system integrators and notified bodies.

Main KPI’s:

  • Your KPI’s will consist of Personal and Operational objectives, which could consist of: On time completion rate of activities, site improvement, project delivery on time/budget/quality.

Ons team

You will be part of the Global OT organization (currently 22 FTE), which consist of 5 pillars:

  • OT Innovation team to set future ambitions and standardize engineering standards
  • OT Projects team to execute medium/large OT Projects.
  • OT Excellence team for centralized MES and expert knowledge
  • OT Service Delivery team for centralized tooling support.
  • BG OT Managers to provide operational guidance to all local OT teams.

We will initially expand the global team with 5 BG OT Engineer positions, which will be reporting to one of the BG OT Managers. As we are starting up the team – your initial focus will be divided between your set of factories in a Business Group and in developing and implementing overarching processes. For Engineers living in the Benelux, we aim to meet weekly in Wageningen. Besides Wageningen, you will be traveling to the different factories within FrieslandCampina to support the local teams. Traveling abroad may occur occasionally.

In total we currently have +/- 150 local OT Engineers/technicians working in the factories worldwide
