Physical and IoT Security Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical and IoT Security Manager to oversee the security of BAM offices, factories, project sites, as well as critical FM locations including hospitals, court houses, prisons, and government buildings globally. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of physical security standards and procedures, advanced knowledge of access control and CCTV technologies, and expertise in the security of smart buildings and IoT devices.

What are you going to do

This role will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of both physical assets and digital infrastructure across various sites, developing and implementing security protocols, and managing global security projects from a technical and operational standpoint.

  • Develop and implement physical and IoT security strategies for offices, factories, sites, and critical locations, ensuring alignment with business and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001).
  • Establish and enforce best practices for physical security, asset protection, and IoT device security.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure access control systems based on the principle of least privilege.
  • Oversee CCTV and surveillance technologies across facilities, conducting regular audits and collaborating with stakeholders to deploy advanced technologies.
  • Secure IoT devices and infrastructure in smart buildings by working with IT and operations teams to ensure secure and monitored systems.
  • Develop and enforce IoT security frameworks to mitigate risks.
  • Conduct risk assessments to proactively address vulnerabilities and mitigate potential threats.
  • Develop and execute incident response plans for security breaches and lead investigations to resolve incidents.
  • Manage global security projects, ensuring standardization across locations, and collaborate with facility managers and teams to integrate security technologies.
  • Provide guidance on security solutions for new sites and acquisitions.
  • Deliver training on security protocols and technologies while fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the organization.

  • A salary between € 5.990,- and € 7.490,- gross per month, depending on your knowledge and experience. This is based on a 40-hour working week and excludes 8% holiday pay;
  • Good secondary employment conditions in accordance with the Construction and Infrastructure collective labor agreement, such as a budget for sustainable employability (2,18%), variable compensation, 25 vacation days, 15 schedule free days and 3 short-term absenteeism days per calendar year;

Who are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Criminal Justice, Engineering, or similar;
  • Preferred certifications: CPP, CISSP, CISM, or IoT security certifications;
  • 7–10 years in physical security, access control, and CCTV; 3+ years in IoT security for smart buildings;
  • Experience securing high-risk environments (e.g., hospitals, prisons, government buildings);
  • Proven global project management and international work experience;
  • Strong knowledge of IoT devices, smart building systems, and access control solutions;
  • Expertise in access control, CCTV, alarms, and perimeter security;
  • IoT security frameworks, threat intelligence, and system integration experience;
  • Familiarity with smart building technologies (e.g., energy and environmental controls);
  • Knowledge of GDPR, NIST, ISO/IEC 27001, and other security standards.Strong leadership and cross-functional team management;
  • Problem-solving with risk assessment and solution implementation;
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
