We are looking for an experienced Business Architect to join the area of IT for OPS & Foundation, part of the tribe Digital & Customer Interactions (DCI). The tribe is a.o. owner of customer data, CRM, marketing, all customer interactions and much more.

The area of IT for OPS & Foundation is newly formed and requires an architect who is willing and capable of leading the architecture chapter in the area from scratch to a rock solid counterpart for Business and IT. This does not only mean designing a state of the art architecture for the area, but also creating a strong team of solutions architects which can stay in pace with a fast changing surrounding and manage a broad range of stakeholders.

You and your role

As Business Architect you will oversee a wide range of topics including, but not limited to:

  • Implementation of SAP Ariba to streamline procurement and vendor management processes.
  • Modernization of crucial applications to support the Operations department’s information & knowledge management and process management.
  • Enabling top notch platforms such as Pega Cloud, Kofax and UIPath.
  • Create shared services which enable further automation of operational processes, such as automatic content recognition from documents using technologies like NLP and (gen)AI.
  • Help clean-up old legacy systems to ensure a futureproof IT landscape for the entire Rabobank.

You and your responsibilities

  • Take part in the area leadership team and guide the area together with the senior IT lead and business area lead.
  • Translate business requirements into functional designs that fit into the (enterprise) architecture and align the functional designs with technical solutions of the solution architects.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the quality of designs and realized solutions
  • Align with many stakeholders, including other business architects, business leads and IT counterparts.
  • Advocate the capabilities your area offers to other area or tribes within the Rabobank.
  • Pro-actively monitor market developments and keep up to pace with the latest (technology) developments.

You and your talent

You are a person who likes a challenge and doesn’t mind to build something from scratch. Obviously you are customer-focused, independent, a conceptual thinker, self starter, analytical skilled, but also a team player and transparent in your communication. In addition, it's important that you recognize yourself in the following:

  • Academic level thinking
  • Practical experience with architecture methods and techniques (e.g. Archimate, TOGAF)
  • Strong communication skills
  • You are familiar with the rituals of Agile / Scrum
  • Good command of English (business level)
  • You are not afraid to voice your professional opinion and have an open view on the future
  • You see what needs to be done and take initiative to make sure items get moving and issues resolved.
