YOUR IMPACT

As a senior Electrical Engineer you are involved in our new newbuild projects from the design phase to implementation. In this position you are the designated specialist to prepare and supervise modifications and the construction of new ships. You are the link between the project manager, project team, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Within your team you are responsible for your own assignments in a challenging and innovative environment with a clear focus on quality, costs and delivery time. In addition, you will be given plenty of space to develop professionally and personally, so that you can continue to grow in your role.

  • You determine the requirements for complete installation of newbuild ships based on the project requirements; This includes power distribution, navigation systems, bridge and engine room automation and mission equipment;
  • You ensure that these requirements are also installed by our subcontractors;
  • You contribute ideas to achieving our sustainable objectives by designing the best possible electrical installation, using modern techniques.

Your workplace

The Electrical team is part of the Technology department within Ship Management Department and is responsible for modifying and developing our sustainable equipment for the Dredging & Infra and Offshore Energy business units. The location of this position is at our office in Rotterdam. For this position you may have to travel, in consultation, to visit the ship on location.

  • You have at least 10 years of work experience in an Electrical Engineer role in the maritime sector;
  • You can communicate verbally and in writing in both Dutch and English;
  • You are willing to spend shorter or longer periods abroad on a regular basis.
