The overall Finance & Control department consists of the following sub-departments: Financial Shared Services, Reporting, Controlling and Tax. Furthermore, Finance & Control is present in all of the business units and some of the other departments.

YOUR IMPACT

  • Lead group tax compliance processes.
  • Assist in optimizing tax processes.
  • Contribute to tax policy settings at Van Oord.
  • Advise and support team members on global tax laws and regulations under the direction of the Global Tax Manager (Head of Tax).
  • Provide expert tax advice to the business, optimizing opportunities and minimizing tax risks.
  • Support strategic projects with tax compliance elements.
  • Leverage experience as a specialist in tax compliance and governance.
  • Develop expertise in financial systems to become an excellent advisor and expert

ABOUT YOU

We are looking for a candidate with initiative and the ability to act as a self-starter, thus being able to identify opportunities to drive value and efficiencies. You are able to show that you are agile, resilient and flexible with an ability to react quickly to a changing environment. Attention to detail and ability to drive process to completion are very important and you have a natural drive and commitment to liaise with business stakeholders. Further, you have the following competencies:

  • Education: Master in Fiscal Economics or Tax Law
  • Job-specific Competencies:
    • In depth knowledge of Dutch corporate income tax, transfer pricing; (must)
    • Affinity with tax accounting, tax reporting, including CBCR;
    • Knowledge of tax reporting systems, ERP and/or digitalization projects;
    • Knowledge on tax related governance, risk management and internal controls;
    • Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written (must). Other languages are preferred.
