Job Description:

General:

The Senior Credit Collections Analyst will oversee credit and collections activities, encompassing credit review, collections, deductions management, and reporting on a designated portfolio of accounts. The role also includes ensuring compliance with sales allowance controls and supporting the broader finance and sales teams.

Activities:

  • Identify, investigate, and recommend actions for overdue accounts, collaborating with and guiding the Credit Collections Intern to determine resolutions.
  • Reconcile customer accounts regularly, considering vendor agreements, markdowns, and commercial discounts.
  • Oversee and finalize all Sales Force entries by the Sales Team for OA allowances, ensuring adherence to administrative and control requirements.
  • Communicate with Customer Service and Sales departments to resolve outstanding accounts post-invoicing.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, supporting team members in daily tasks.
  • Manage credit hold and release orders in line with company guidelines.
  • Provide AR reports on accounts and portfolio performance as required

Credit and Collection Analyst activities:

  • Investigate and recommend actions for overdue accounts and secure realistic payment arrangements with customers.
  • Perform aging analysis and monitor overdue accounts.
  • Resolve customer deductions by collaborating with CSAs, account managers, warehouses, and inventory analysts.
  • Follow up on AR inquiries from other departments.
  • Handle cash application and billing duties.
  • Reconcile major customer accounts and resolve short payments or deductions, issuing credit notes where applicable.
  • Conduct routine credit checks for new accounts and obtain additional information when necessary.
  • Approve sales orders in line with company policies.
  • Respond to accounts receivable inquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all AR-related activities.
  • Manage the full accounts receivable ledger for customers, including month-end closing activities and accrual postings.
  • Generate AR aging reports.
  • Other duties as required or assigned

Required Qualifications Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred) or equivalent qualifications.
  • 4-5 years of relevant experience in an international business environment.
  • Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment and financial analysis.
  • Proficiency in SAP and advanced computer literacy.
  • High level of English proficiency (oral and written).
  • Strong numeracy skills and familiarity with financial analysis techniques
  • Solid accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience in AR and deductions resolution within the Consumer Packaged Goods Industry.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and maintain attention to detail.
  • A team-oriented mindset with the capability to work independently.
  • Confidence, initiative, and a process-improvement approach.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing business needs
