THIS IS YOUR JOB

At Team Product, we are looking for a new team member to join our team as a localization specialist. You will work with our localization coordinator and another localization specialist (Dutch) to ensure that all our current and future content is up to our standards. Team Product produces various content, ranging from software text and survey questions to support pages and sales materials. The source language generally is English.

As a localization specialist, you will:

  • Review our English and German content, this can be pre- or post- localization depending on the situation, and make sure that it meets our standards. An external agency handles the actual translating.
  • Help maintain and improve our translation support structure, such as style guides, glossaries and Translation Memories, and report possible incidents.
  • Run visual checks of localized content in context and make corrections whenever needed.

THIS IS YOU

  • You are native in English and near native in German or vice versa
  • You are available for 16 - 32 hours per week
  • You have some experience as a localization specialist, copywriter or a proofreader. It’s a plus if you have translation experience and worked with a TMS
  • You have a Linguistic degree or in a related field
  • You have an eye for detail and time management skills
  • You have excellent communication skills in both German and English
  • You can work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
