Energy System Planning (ESP) is a future-oriented unit, optimized to react to fast-changing external conditions. We develop a robust vision for a climate-neutral energy system of the future and how our onshore/offshore electricity system can adapt to these challenges in the smartest way.
Due to the energy transition the generation technology mix changes drastically and society ask for increased loading and increased undergrounding of our infrastructure. This introduces power quality issues that were irrelevant before, and can at times bring the operation of our infrastructure closer to power quality compatibility levels.
At ESP we are responsible for power quality policies, adequate connection requirements and to ensure that grid users’ installations comply with these rules. We are responsible to report measured power quality levels to our regulator and analyse and mitigate any occurring limit exceedances.
