Internship

Description of the assignment

Within Vanderlande we have our own test centre to test new and existing modules to be able to deliver the highest quality possible for our customers. One part of our test system consists of a so-called “EM Wall”. This is a wall where Vanderlande standardized Electrical components are mounted and connected with each other to do some isolated testing without any transport system attached. This EM Wall is owned by the R&D department, and with all new decisions that are made last years they are not up to date.

  • To be able to continue to deliver high-quality products to our customers, we would like to have our test equipment, and thus the EM Wall to the latest status.
  • Your assignment would be to check the status, investigate how it should become and propose and document the new status.

Department description
The project will be executed within the R&D department Centre of Excellence. Within Vanderlande, the R&D department investigates new and existing technologies that will be used by the projects. The project will be executed by one student, with the help of other professionals within the organization. For this, the student can find his own way inside the organization and find the correct people to help him with the help of his supervisor.

Tasks/responsibilities

You will join one of our DevOps teams and take part in the different scrum events. The teams focus on the development of Data Products related to a specific domain like the ones mentioned earlier. In our teams, a proactive and entrepreneurial spirit is highly valued.

How much you want to add in terms of actual workload to the team is up to you and will depend heavily on the specific nature of your assignment/graduation project. From our side, there are close to zero expectations. What we want to offer you is a professional, high-tech, and corporate environment to complete your study assignment in. We trust you will like it enough to do a lot more than that.

Your profile

What we expect to be delivered at the end of the internship are drawings of the current test setup, drawings on how the test setup should look like, and possibly an updated test setup.

  • Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands
  • Experience with Eplan is preferred
  • Basic knowledge in Word is needed for documentation
