At INDG we're looking for a Senior CG Artist, who will be responsible for continuous oversight of quality and realism of CG stills for our wide range of clients in the automotive industry. INDG does all things 3D, focusing on presenting physical products in digital space in all sorts of interesting ways.

About INDG

At INDG we develop technology that enables engaging, hyper-realistic digital product experiences. Our goal is to make "every product playable", by combining the science of technology with the artistry of computer-generated content. Our offices are in Amsterdam, Bucharest and New York. Clients include Honda, Acura, Yamaha, Adidas, Ralph Lauren, Electrolux, and Philips. Our CG artists, interactive designers, and developers focus on creating virtual versions of our clients' products, so lifelike it feels like you could reach out and touch them.

Our culture brings together creative, tech and business individuals. It’s a heady cocktail that keeps us inspired, empowered and passionate.

We're seeking an Experienced CG Artist to lead Quality Assurance (QA) in production, ensuring every automotive render achieves the highest standards of realism and quality. Your expertise in composition, lighting, and what makes a render look truly real will be key in overseeing production teams and maintaining excellence in all deliverables—whether full CG renders or backplate-based projects.

What will you be doing?

  • Automotive QA: Review and approve automotive renders at all stages of production, ensuring they meet the visual and technical standards of the industry.
  • Guiding teams: Collaborate with production artists to provide precise feedback, ensuring renders achieve photorealism while reflecting the automotive brand's identity.
  • Lighting and composition oversight: Ensure every render embodies exceptional composition and lighting, specifically tailored for automotive visuals.
  • Realism checks: Evaluate renders for technical accuracy and photorealism, ensuring that both full CG renders and backplate integrations are indistinguishable from real photography.
  • Technical troubleshooting: Address challenges in 3D scenes to optimize workflows and maintain the quality expected in the automotive industry.
  • Collaborating with art directors: Work alongside art directors to align on the artistic vision and ensure that renders effectively communicate the vehicle's design and features.
  • Setting automotive-specific standards: Develop and uphold QA benchmarks that reflect the unique requirements of automotive visualization.

Would be amazing if you have:

  • Experience in the automotive industry: 6+ years in high-end CG production with a portfolio showcasing photorealistic renders of cars or related products.
  • Detail obsession: A critical eye for automotive nuances, including paint finishes, reflections, and surface details.
  • Expertise in composition and lighting: Mastery of these principles with an understanding of how they enhance vehicle presentation.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency with 3D Max, Vray and compositing tools, specifically for automotive projects.
  • Backplate integration expertise: Knowledge of how to seamlessly blend CG cars into real-world photography and AI generated backplates.
  • Problem-solving mindset: Ability to address challenges unique to automotive rendering, from intricate surface details to complex lighting setups.
  • Passion for cars: A strong affinity for vehicles and their design, enabling you to bring out their best visual representation.
  • Collaborative spirit: Ability to guide a team of artists while working with art directors and clients to deliver high-quality automotive visuals.
  • Hands-on expertise: Ready to dive into production as needed to meet deadlines and ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Fluency in English: Clear communication in a global, fast-paced environment.
