The position

As an Internal Trainer, you design, deliver, and continuously improve in-person and virtual training programs, focusing on topics such as communication, secure base leadership, and team collaboration. By fostering a growth mindset and creating a secure learning environment, you tailor training and development initiatives to meet the needs, competencies and skills of our broad employee base (crew, projects, office), enabling them to reach their potential and thrive in their work.

Your responsibilities

In this role you’ll be working closely together with Talent, L&D and HR in Business colleagues to design scalable programs, fit for purpose interventions, facilitate trainings and workshops (including TTT for facilitators community) ensuring learning transfers to the workplace.

  • Design tailored, scalable and interactive training interventions and facilitator guides and improve existing trainings and workshops, across a broad range of topics to meet the needs of our employees and/or activate change;
  • Responsible for overall delivery of, non-technical, training (in person and virtual) within our Academy and support team development sessions, being able to connect, engage and motivate participants to learn and experiment by creating and fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment;
  • Develop guidelines and train the trainer for, as well as enable and engage a global facilitator community;
  • Expert in, and passion for, soft skills training (e.g. communication, secure base leadership, psychological safety, etc.) and team development;
  • Collaborate with Training Coordinators and L&D advisors to ensure planning and organization of trainings is taken care of and to evaluate training performance and impact.

Job requirements

You are an experienced trainer and learning designer with at least 8 year experience, supporting large multinational, commercial and/or project driven, organizations to address their talent, learning and development needs through fit for purpose training.

Furthermore, you have:

  • A Bachelor degree, Master Degree or equivalent work experience;
  • Extensive experience in providing training in soft skills, leadership skills and train-the-trainers;
  • Ability to connect with people, with mixed expertise and cultural backgrounds, across different levels and departments within the organization;
  • Ability to facilitate in person and virtual group training, team development training, internal employee networks training, webinars and support intervision and employee/leader coaching in relation to talent, learning and development programs;
  • Experienced in giving training in both Dutch and English and have an aptitude for connecting with, and creating a safe inclusive learning environment.
