The International Mobility Team, as part of the Group Human Resources division and residing in the Payroll and Benefits pillar, is responsible for ensuring that the right talent can be mobilized at the right time. The department is accountable for selection and relocation of employees for international assignments, as well as the logistics, activities and events that occur before, during and after these assignments.

The Role

The role of IM inbound Specialist consists in:

  • Advising HRBP and project on immigration procedures and timeframe feasibility
  • Initiating briefing call with assignees & new hires from abroad on the process
  • Preparation for documents gathering, filing the application to the immigration authorities (IND) and follow-up for an entry visa, work, resident permit and posted workers notification, etc.
  • Focal point of contact for assignees & new hires related to settling in new country
  • Ensure interim accommodation is available upon arrival
  • Keep all internal and external stakeholders updated and aligned (HRBPs, Talent Acquisition and (line) manager etc.)
  • Arrange immigration/schooling/appointments for family members.
  • Notify the authorities on time renewal of permit or any other changes
  • Immigration population monitoring, reporting, and analysis - Maintain Immigration tracker for inbound assignees and new hires. Handle visa renewals and extensions requests.
  • Provide information and guidance when assignees have queries (accommodation, School & local tax, etc.)
  • Regular liaising with external vendors (Relocation company, Accommodation Service providers, & Tax Advisor) and handling Purchase orders and invoicing
  • Coordinate on the yearly tax assessment campaign
  • Taking care of departure formalities - Immigration/Car/Accommodation/Tax Advisor
  • Maintain the relationship and align with International Mobility outbound colleagues in the SBM Corporate Business & Solutions Centre in Porto
  • Keep both internal processes and procedures updated in writing and suggest improvements in respective area
  • Maintain and follow up on KPIs for the department

Requirements

SBM Offshore is looking for applicants with HBO/ university education with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Mobility, relocation, and assignment services.

Furthermore, you are, or you have:

  • Experience in handling Netherlands work visa and immigration-related topics
  • Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues and to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication & cultural awareness
  • Enjoy working in a complex and fast paced environment
  • Problem solver & Customer focused
  • Strong skills using MS office (Word & Excel etc.)
  • Flexible and adaptable to balance different Stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and knowledge of Dutch would be a plus
