Information Manager

As an Information Manager, you play a crucial role in our information and application landscape. You act as the link between IT and the business, translating the vision, business needs, and processes into a business information plan. At the start of a project, you take the lead to ensure the quality of the information chains. You have a keen understanding of the interconnections and future vision of various information systems, and you collaborate with stakeholders to define the strategy for structuring and further developing the information landscape. Within the frameworks of our Enterprise and Security architecture, you ensure that the information provision aligns optimally with our business objectives and underlying processes. In doing so, you play an essential role in the entire process, from concept to execution, and are a fundamental factor in our success.

The position of Information Manager falls hierarchically within the Digital Change team, which is part of the Shared Service Centre IT. Your primary goal is to act as a partner in discussions concerning IT within a specific business domain. You work closely with architects, security experts, IT procurement, functional, application, and technical managers, as well as IT and business management. Since the role of Information Manager is relatively new, we are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about this position and sees it as a challenge to further develop it within Lely, in collaboration with your fellow Information Managers. Your input and personality will make a difference and contribute to the innovative strength of our great company.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Act as a discussion partner at a tactical and strategic level.
• Key player in new IT initiatives. You ensure the quality of the requirements and coordinate optimal collaboration between business and IT experts in new initiatives.
• Translate and prioritize strategic organizational goals into concrete solutions through a Business Information Plan.
• Analyze the impact of developments in the environment (such as legislation, technology, and business operations) and translate these into consequences for information provision, and consequently for the entire organization.
• Define requirements regarding the organization of information provision and management.
• Assess how information systems contribute to the desired information provision, in alignment with existing processes and within the framework of the architecture and the existing application landscape.
• Actively collaborate with other Information Managers and direct stakeholders within IT and the business to further shape the role of Information Manager, the Shared Service Centre IT, and the associated processes.
