Role Overview
Join our team as a Reliability Specialist at Arla Foods Stourton. You will be responsible for developing maintenance standards and optimizing asset reliability to eliminate unplanned stops and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). This role demands ownership and leadership in all aspects of reliability and maintenance to eliminate unplanned stops and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
Key Responsibilities
Asset Reliability
- The specialist role is responsible for leading root cause analysis and troubleshooting on operations plant/utility equipment and automation systems, to eliminate unplanned stops and increase OEE.
- Leads technical reliability improvement & modification projects within all areas of responsibility.
- Conducts analysis of all unplanned stoppages and owns/supports in solution delivery and close-out of actions to eliminate.
- Lead root cause analysis and troubleshooting for the department.
- Own the department's Asset Maintenance & Reliability Strategy.
- Ensure assets meet basic conditions by developing colleagues and leaders in Operator Asset Care.
- Manage suppliers, contracts, and compliance improvements.
Maintenance Strategy
- Leads selection, development, and implementation of the area asset maintenance programme.
- Accountable for creating and delivering SOPs and work instructions for technicians and operations.
- Delivers Maintenance Strategy actions.
- Perform role of site/department CMMS super-user.
- Create/update Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) master data.
- Executing planned maintenance activities requiring specialist expertise.
- Managing suppliers and specific contracts, including control of works.
- Managing specific QEHS compliance aspects and compliance improvements.
Developing People
- Responsible for ensuring the competence and work quality of shift engineers and PPM technicians.
- Responsible for ensuring the competence and work quality of Planned Preventative Maintenance.
- Responsible for upskilling the operational team in asset care across their area of responsibility.
Skills and Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance or equivalent; Modern Advanced Level Apprenticeship completed.
- Experience in maintenance strategy development and implementation. Proficiency with tools like CBM, RCA, FMECA, and CMMS (SAP PM).
- Desirable but not essential: HNC, HND, and/or BEng Degree.
- Desirable but not essential: 2-3 years of SAP experience
