Your contribution to TenneT

  • At TenneT we offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the execution of our offshore grid connection systems. As Sub Project Lead - Secondary Systems for our 2GW HVDC projects, your expertise will focus on ensuring the successful integration of Control & Protection and HV SCADA into the overall grid infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on timely, high-quality and cost-effective execution.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute HVDC projects with a focus on integrating Control & Protection and HV SCADA systems into the overall grid infrastructure.
  • Manage project planning, scheduling, and risk management, ensuring timely and high-quality execution.
  • Ensure compliance with technical and regulatory standards from design to commissioning.
  • Facilitate coordination between internal teams and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Act as the main point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear updates on project progress, milestones, and technical challenges.
  • Identify and address technical and commercial interfaces to streamline project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, ensuring alignment with contracts and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a safe working environment by ensuring adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Your profile and background

You are a skilled project professional with experience in executing complex HVDC projects, specializing in Secondary Systems, including Control & Protection and HV SCADA. With at least 5 years of relevant global project execution experience and a BSc in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Due to your experience you have strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling and risk management. You are fluent in English, in possession of a valid driving license, GWO and HUET certifications (or willingness to complete them) and willingness to travel globally.

You are solution-oriented, a strong problem solver, with a proven ability to manage multiple technical interfaces while ensuring smooth collaboration between internal stakeholders and contractors within a dynamic project environment.

With your attention to detail, effective communication skills, analytical thinking and strong focus on maintaining high standards of quality and safety you make a key contributor to delivering HVDC systems on time. You are adaptable and resilient, able to handle the pressures of fast-paced, complex projects.

This will be our challenge

Large Projects Offshore is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in both the German and Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

  • The weekly working time is 40 hours;
  • Work hybrid, we stimulate a healthy work-life balance;
  • 43 holidays per annual on a full time basis;
  • Job grade 9, € 4.369,- to € 8.594- gross based on a fulltime position, according TenneT TSO CAO;
  • Indefinite contract with 2 months probation;
