Purpose of Role

Under Armour EMEA is seeking a DTC Planner Marketplaces (Maternity Cover) to join its Planning team based in Amsterdam for 6 months. This is an ideal opportunity for a self-motivated, passionate, flexible, and focused individual to join a high-quality team. The main responsibilities of the role will be developing a tops-down seasonal financial and inventory target and a bottoms-up sales plan for all of UA’s Marketplace accounts. The DTC Planner Marketplace will leverage collaborative cross-functional relationships to enable the DTC team to meet quarterly sales and margin objectives, ensure GoToMarket strategies come to life in the market, and inventory sell-through is managed to target.

Your Impact

Pre-Season Planning

  • Partner with DTC POD lead, Marketplace lead, Merch & Finance to develop Financial Targets.
  • Translate financial targets to seasonal plans broken out by DTC KPI’s as well as by Category for assigned channel that support the long-term strategic growth plan for the Region and planning inventory levels
  • Set & track performance against line architecture and SKU Targets for assortment that yields productivity
  • Leverage Regional Merch partner to gain strong command of seasonal product strategies, big stories, distribution segmentation, etc.
  • Build and maintain Account Group-Level Sales Plans that substantiate financial targets
  • Utilize Sales Plan to identify opportunities and risks to the Financial Target at monthly OTB meetings
  • Communicate potential target adjustment opportunities and risks as they arise

In-Season Planning & Inventory management

  • Track sell through per category and seasonality and advise/execute actions needed including but not limited to, replenishment, price promotional activities, content marketing support
  • Support business with performance analysis on account level as well as category level.
  • Reporting & Analysis such as WSSI, OTB, Sell-through and revenue reporting
  • Coordinate cross functional activities to reconcile significant variances to plan and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
  • Proactively plan and manage weekly and sales stock for the external partner warehouse, ensure stock levels are aligned with promotional activities, sales plan and product launches and execute the regular replenishment and new allocation actions

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Sales or Merch Planning, Demand Planning, or Replenishment Planning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Mathematics or other relevant field preferred.
  • Strong business acumen specific to Retailers’ Sales, Margin, Inventory & Service
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency of Sales Planning best practices
  • Understanding of Retail Math and KPI’s
  • Basic knowledge of FP&A processes & financial acumen
  • Digital / Marketplace experience is a plus
  • Strong PowerPoint, Excel skills and preferably Tableau skills.
  • Fluent in English.

  • Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Amsterdam office.
  • Return to Work Designation: Hybrid work (baseline of minimum 2 days a week in-office.
