Position Summary

Assistant Manager Media Activation supports or drives media activation for category concepts and manages daily operation of performance media, closely working with Brand Comms, Digital Activation, and eCommerce teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support in developing an effective holistic media plan to support business and brand objectives and manage performance.
  • Responsible for development of performance media (SEM, display, social, app AD, etc.) strategy with supervision from the manager to meet eCom KPIs and customer acquisition goals.
  • Analyze channel data to drive testing, reporting, optimization, and analysis on performance media to identify key opportunities for improvements.
  • Conduct research and tracking with reporting responsibilities.
  • Manage budget and agency with supervision from the manager.

Requirements

  • Experience in Digital Ad, especially with programmatic media management/control including search, display, and PLA.
  • Strong understanding of digital infrastructure and tracking methods such as cookies, tag management, and cross-device measurement technologies.
  • Solid understanding of the display technology/agency/publisher/advertiser ecosystem and attribution modeling.
  • Beneficial experience in offline media planning (e.g., TV, OOH, magazine).
  • Good understanding and experience with Google, X (Twitter), Facebook, Instagram, and LINE/Yahoo.
  • Experience with web analytics and ad serving platforms (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Strong analytical, logical, and data-driven capabilities.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint and advanced Excel skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills required for internal and business partner interactions.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in display performance media agency, RTB programmatic media technology vendor, or publisher/advertiser with a focus on sales campaigns.
  • Business level proficiency in English.
  • Fluency in Japanese.
