Pension and Benefits Manager at Barclays

Join the Pension and Benefits team at Barclays, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring our employee benefits are well managed globally. Your key responsibilities will include managing benefit policies, overseeing third-party delivery, ensuring compliance with governance measures, and supervising supplier performance. Additionally, you will support pension and benefit plans governance in Europe and the Middle East and contribute to project activities such as scheme design reviews.

Role Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing, implementing, and delivering retirement plans and benefits programs aligned to organizational strategy, including resolving escalated issues from colleagues and leaders.
  • Ensuring retirement plans and benefits programs comply with internal governance and external regulations, staying updated with legislative changes.
  • Educating employees and managers on available retirement and benefit options, like retirement and health insurance solutions.
  • Conducting market research and developing appropriate retirement and benefits strategies and compliance measures.
  • Managing and engaging external vendors to administer and deliver retirement and benefits services and provide necessary counsel.
  • Overseeing cost elements relevant to retirement and benefits plans, ensuring costs align with budgets and any funding requirements are met.
