We are seeking a **Portfolio and Pricing Manager** to join our Portfolio Management team, responsible for optimizing the portfolio of assets and client capital commitments across Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB).

You will be involved in managing key commercial deal approvals for International Corporate Banking and UK Corporate, owning the Pricing Framework, and serving as the central pricing authority for lending decisions. You will also collaborate with global lending and trade finance originators, advising on pricing, structure, sector appetite, and capital treatment, while working with senior managers to drive strategies that maximize Return on Tangible Equity. This position requires close collaboration with stakeholders across CIB, with personal discretion on transaction approvals.

Purpose of the role

To manage asset and reporting for the bank's wholesale lending portfolio, including developing and implementing portfolio management strategies, monitoring, and assessing portfolio risk, and reporting on portfolio performance and collaborating with relationship managers, credit analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that the portfolio is aligned with the bank's risk appetite and business objectives. 

Accountabilities

  • Identification, assessment, and mitigation of credit risks associated with the portfolio, including conducting regular portfolio reviews and sensitivity analysis.
  • Monitoring of performance of the loan portfolio.
  • Analyzing the business cases for lending proposals based on the creditworthiness of borrowers and counterparties, in line with the bank’s strategy.
  • Implementation of strategies to optimize the portfolio's risk-return profile, including active management of credit exposures, portfolio rebalancing, and credit limit.
