The Internship

Are you passionate about communication and change management? Curious about how these skills can help our Commerce activities be more effective and cohesive? Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset and strong communication skills? Then we are looking for you!

As a valued member of the Heineken Global Procurement Commerce and Business Services team, you will be working on developing and executing change and communication strategies to support our team. Your work will focus on ensuring smooth and impactful continuous engagement of our stakeholders within head office and reaching over 50 countries across our projects, particularly with the deployment of our e-Shop for Point of Sales Materials (POSM) – which is the cornerstone of the Digital transformation we are going through.

More concretely, you will:

  • Develop and implement communication plans to support various projects within the team.
  • Create engaging content to promote the adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Track and analyze communication effectiveness and change management success.
  • Manage a community of practice, facilitating knowledge sharing and collaboration across countries.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from users to continuously improve communication strategies.

The Department

As a Change and Communication intern, you will report to the Head of Trade Marketing Procurement, and your position is based in Amsterdam.

The Terms of Employment

  • Your starting date is 1st of September 2024 (can be slightly earlier or after).
  • The internship is full-time.
  • The duration of the internship is 6 months (it can be extended further depending on performance and personal situation).
  • You are registered at an educational institution.
  • It is a practice-oriented internship.
  • You will be based in the Amsterdam office (next to the Heineken Experience!).
  • You will receive the standard HEINEKEN internship fee.
  • You will enjoy 2 vacation days per month (based on full-time).
  • If you do not have a student OV product, your commuting expenses will be fully reimbursed.

The Unique You!

For this role, we are looking for a talent who has a willingness to learn and develop their skills and capabilities across communication, change management, and innovation. Also, the ideal candidate has/ is:

  • Currently in study for a Bachelor's or Master’s degree.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Assertive, pragmatic, resilient, and a can-do attitude.
  • Strong personality with the ability to work in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to details and sharp in connecting with others.
  • Good command of PowerPoint and other communication tools/channels.
  • Registered in a European (EU) University for the duration of the internship (6 months).
  • Interest and/or experience in communication and change management.

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution.
    1. In the case of non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution, from which we receive proof of enrollment for the current academic year from you.
    2. In case of EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. Living in the Netherlands during internship (HEINEKEN does not facilitate housing).
