The Rookie Program

Start date: 1st of February ‘25 until 30th of June ‘25

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for an internship, you must be:

  • Enrolled in a Dutch University (not online) in a Bachelor or a Master for the entire duration of the program (full 5 months).
  • An EU citizen passport holder or a Non-EU Citizen studying in the Netherlands (Internship should be a mandatory part of your curriculum).

Role Overview

As a Rookie at Under Armour, you'll play a crucial role in bringing our mission and vision to life through a hands-on project that challenges you to develop new skills and push boundaries. You'll gain valuable global exposure and collaborate with talented professionals from across the company. With access to executive Q&A sessions and personalized guidance from our talent advisors, you'll be well-equipped to tackle any challenge that comes your way.

Our internship program is designed to provide a holistic understanding of the Under Armour brand. You'll learn how our innovative products transition from development to sales and into the market.

Purpose of Role

This role sits in the CTMX (Culture and Teammate Experience) team, part of the bigger Human Resources team. The CTMX function drives the teammate experience at all levels, focusing on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Teammates relations, facilities, and in-house events.

The role involves leading DEI communications for talent attraction and teammates’ diversity celebrations, supporting projects to make our workplace more inclusive for people with disabilities, and implementing new health services promoting health and teammates’ wellbeing.

You'll also contribute to identifying workplace trends by managing the exit interviews process. The scope includes significant cross-functional collaboration and exposure to various stakeholders, both corporate and retail.

Rookie Missions

1. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion:

  • Implementation of DEI communications plan for FY26
  • Design and implement monthly cultural celebrations calendar
  • Coordinate and publish monthly employee resource groups’ Newsletter
  • Contribute to LinkedIn regional communication plan to attract talents
  • Develop DEI comms in retail
  • Craft inspiring stories spotlighting our teammates’ experiences of diversity and inclusion
  • Contribute to workspace accessibility for people with disabilities in Amsterdam, including awareness, accommodations process, and gap resolution
  • Support Talent Acquisition team in diverse sourcing and recruitment strategies

2. Facilities, In-House Events:

  • Support teammates’ wellbeing and health initiatives in the Netherlands
  • Ensure the success of teammates’ events by assisting in communications and logistics

Your Impact

  • Manage Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion communication plan
  • Support workspace projects for inclusion
  • Support Talent Acquisition in diverse sourcing and recruitment
  • Encourage teammates’ healthcare and wellbeing
  • Identify workplace trends through the exit interviews process
  • Review policies and design trainings on Under Armour processes

Education and Experience

  • Students in HR, Communications, or Social Sciences
  • First experience linked to HR, DEI, ethics, or community outreach is preferred

Additional Skills and Attributes

  • Interest in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Ethics, or teammates’ engagement
  • Excellent communication skills and social media knowledge
  • Experience managing projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and make recommendations
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and question
  • Capability to work cross-functionally
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
