In for a challenge to make this happen at Hunkemöller? Want to join an inclusive and empowering team of more than 50 interns? Within our HQ NL you can be unique and really make an impact on the future of Hunkemöller! As of February 2025 our IT department in Almere (close to Amsterdam) is looking for a passionate intern. Are you currently studying and looking for an interesting internship at our expanding, international Retail Brand? And do you want to join the Hunkemöller lifestyle? Then don’t be shy and apply! You’ll run through our “Best internship in Retail” and learn on the job. The main theme of this internship is to assess and improve IT tools that give better insights in the IT application landscape.

As any retailer, Hunkemöller has a complex IT landscape and keeping the documentation up to date is an ongoing challenge. Hunkemöller has a tool (LeanIX) where this complex IT landscape can be documented, but this tool is not yet used to its full potential. While this tool describes what systems are used within the company, there is currently no central visibility on who in the company is using what tool.

In this context, the IT Enterprise Architect is looking for support with the following two main tasks:

  • Improve content in and usage of Enterprise Architecture documentation tool LeanIX
  • Support the Enterprise Architect to setup the tool in a better way and complete the content
  • Create documentation for the IT and business teams on how to keep the content up to date and get the most out of this tool
  • Assess the need for and benefits of a Software CMDB (Configuration Management DataBase), to keep track of who is using which tool, looking at:
  • Added value
  • Cost
  • Processes

The deliverable of the internship should be:

  • Fully up to date content of the LeanIX tool and a procedure to keep the tool up to date and how to use the tool
  • Advise on software CMDB and possible a proposal for such a tool

YOUR PROFILE:

  • You’re studying WO/HBO Bachelor Business Administration or IT (preferably no graduate students)
  • You’re passionate about learning more about the total application landscape of a large company and document this using a state of the art tool, where you can bring your own views and ideas on how to do this in the best way by researching the possibilities and best practices of this tool.
  • You’re a team player, you like to “dive” into complex topics, you are happy to collect missing information from many different stakeholders within the company, you are not afraid to approach people at all levels in the company by yourself and you are able to have a “helicopter view” without loosing attention to detail
  • Fluent English language skills and your interest in retail complete your profile
  • You’re available for at least 32 hours to work on your internship tasks (max 1 day to spend on school assignments, -projects or thesis)

Eligibility:

For this internship, you need to be available for 5 months starting in February 2025.
