Medical Manager Opportunity at Novartis

In line with our overall product strategy, the Medical Manager supports the design, implementation, and execution of Medical Affairs pipeline plans for ASCVD. This includes providing scientific information, helping design and organize clinical studies, and building educational dialogue with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and regulatory stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to clinical and overall cross-functional strategy during the brand life cycle/disease area.
  • Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to drive the ASCVD company objectives forward.
  • Provide medical input to overall business plans.
  • Perform critical appraisal of scientific data and contribute to publication plans.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop impactful medical education plans and projects.
  • Support the process of building the evidence generation plan and assess future needs.
  • Identify and act on insights relevant to launch readiness and life cycle maximization.
  • Effectively communicate clinical evidence to stakeholders.
  • Identify HCS stakeholder needs and opportunities to engage.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Pharmacist, Medical Doctor, or possession of a PhD or Masters qualification in scientific/medical fields.
  • Experience in Head Office Medical Affairs in another pharmaceutical company is ideal. Related Head Office function or MSL experience may also be considered.
  • Good knowledge of Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Metabolic, ASCVD disease area.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills and customer orientation.
  • Knowledge of drug development and the UK Health Care System.
  • Understanding of evidence generation and educational strategies.
  • Understanding of the ABPI code.
  • Experience and knowledge of the UK/NHS Healthcare system.
