Product Owner - Embedded & Control
As a Product Owner - Embedded & Control, you will be responsible for the success of our embedded systems and control features. You will lead cross-functional teams, collaborate with product managers and project managers, and break down requirements into user stories.
What you will do:
- Lead cross-functional teams for embedded and control features within our ecosystem. You will be accountable for the success of these functionalities.
- Collaborate with product managers and project managers to ensure seamless transition from defining product requirements to executing them.
- Break down product requirements into user stories and manageable work packages, ensuring clear scope, testing and acceptance criteria, and definition of done, while maintaining alignment with project goals.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the development team and stakeholders regarding the features and projects you own.
- Manage the product feature backlog in our Project Management tool for your projects to ensure effective planning and prioritization.
- Facilitate effective agile rituals like sprint planning and sprint reviews with the product development team.
- Provide consistent project reporting to the project manager by defining and tracking KPIs.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor or Masters in computer science, embedded systems, control, or a similar field.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience, with at least 3 years as a product owner or similar role, involving the development of products that integrate hardware and software.
- Experience as an embedded developer. Knowledge in C++, Linux-related environments, and/or control features is a plus.
- Good understanding of control theory principles including proportional-integral-derivative (PID) control and model predictive control; experience in home energy management is a big plus.
- Solid understanding of user experience, software development processes, and the importance of proper and clear requirements.
- Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies with excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Understanding of the HVAC industry and emerging trends in sustainable home energy solutions is a big plus.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
