Data Engineer - FEC Tech Data & Insights

You will be working within Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Tech Data & Insights and will focus on further developing the technical solution that provides context-driven insights to support FEC analysts investigating Rabobank customers. Currently, over 3,000 FEC analysts use the dashboard daily to gather information about Rabobank clients. You will be part of the transition from a one-size-fits-all solution to a context-driven information solution.

Your Responsibilities

You will focus on further developing the technical solution and making the FEC Analyst Dashboard available for Rabobank Wholesale & Rural (Global) clients. These clients present the challenge of handling large and complex datasets while maintaining high performance. Examples of epics and features you will work on include:

• Making the client transactional dataflow support multiple subjects as they enter the FEC Analyst Dashboard.
• Changing the client payment and saving dataflow from an API connection to a dataflow through Databricks and DBT.
• Creating a data connection with a completely new, large data source and performing data validation to ensure data quality.
• Implementing new techniques to improve the performance of the current technical solution.

Your Skills and Experience

As a Data Engineer, you have 3-5 years of experience in using the concepts/components in a production environment and with the following technologies:

• Azure Databricks and DBT
• Advanced SQL skills
• PowerShell
• Python
• Azure Data Factory
• Build and deploy with Azure DevOps (YAML)
• Airflow
• Set up data quality and monitoring
• Azure Analysis Services/Power BI Datasets/Data Modelling

Your Team

You will be part of a dedicated team focused on key deliverables and responsible for making an impact within the Rabobank FEC organization. Your team will include a Product Manager, Product Owner, five Data Engineers, two Fullstack (software) Developers, and four BI Translators/Analysts.
