The Role

As the interim Document Controller at Damen Naval, you will be a key player in the development of state-of-the-art naval vessels. Your role will include processing and exchanging documentation with customers, partners, and subcontractors. You’ll manage the planning and execution of scheduled distributions and ensure that all exchanges adhere to confidentiality agreements. Your mission includes maintaining compliance within Product Data Management (PDM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Processing documents and vendor data in databases (PDM, PLM).
  • Registering, distributing, and expediting documents to authorized personnel.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of documents and data.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to resolve document issues.
  • Initiating actions for potential delivery time overruns.
  • Reporting on the progress of Document Control activities.
  • Identifying and implementing improvements in Document Control tasks.

Skills & Experience

To excel as an interim Document Controller, you should possess the following qualifications and qualities:

  • 2+ years of experience in document control in a technical, logistic, or production environment.
  • Experience with PDM (Enovia) and PLM software.
  • Extensive experience with MS Office (Excel).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Logistical-related study.
  • Competencies: accuracy, proactive attitude, keen eye for detail, flexibility, good communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of the English language; ideally, also basic skills in Dutch or German.
  • Excellent references as a pre-employment security screening is standard.
  • Permanent EU citizenship and passport are required.

  • Travel allowance of 23 cents per kilometer.
