We aim at positioning Amsterdam UMC as a leading neuropathology research center in the Netherlands and Europe and consider your expertise and ambitions indispensable to this goal. We seek candidates with skills in molecular and cellular biology, multiomics, imaging, and neurobiology, with a strong focus on neurodegenerative diseases. Expertise in Alzheimer's disease and/or other neurological disorders including Parkinson’s Disease and Multiple Sclerosis will be prioritized.
To achieve our vision, we seek an ambitious PI to help shape the future of our neuropathology group and conduct cutting-edge neuropathology-related research. You will closely collaborate with and be mentored by experienced neuropathologists and scientists affiliated with the Amsterdam Neuroscience research institute, a joint venture of Amsterdam UMC, the science faculties of Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and the University of Amsterdam, and the Dutch Brain Bank.
This tenure-track faculty position (UD level) entails an initial 4-year contract with the ultimate goal of securing a permanent full faculty position contingent upon tenure-track achievements evaluated based on the following criteria:
