What will you do as Commercial Operations Manager?
In this role, you'll work on a wide range of commercial projects and streamline technical and operational processes for the commercial team. With your tech-savvy mindset, you'll empower commercial assistants and category managers in their daily operations and strategic questions. You'll constantly spot opportunities to optimize processes and ways of working, especially from a technical perspective. Think of automating connections between our partners’ systems and our own shop, ensuring products and information are accurately displayed, and that order, delivery, and return data is exchanged efficiently whilst reducing manual work.

As a Commercial Operations Manager, you will:

• Collaborate with suppliers to integrate them seamlessly into our platform, ensuring a smooth partnership from the start
• Optimize workflows within the commercial team, identifying smarter, more efficient ways to work and improving processes. For example, implement a reporting mechanism to ensure all teams are timely involved on next steps to onboard new suppliers
• Bridge the gap between business and tech, translating business needs into clear technical requirements and collaborating with our tech team to implement solutions. For example, help improving and automating the way of working on processing product content.
• Drive integration improvements, helping to implement standardized processes that enhance efficiency and ensure smooth commercial operations.

You’ll be in daily contact with a wide variety of partners, from small businesses to large enterprises. You'll communicate effectively with both IT experts and decision-makers, ensuring that technical collaborations run smoothly, even after the initial onboarding. You'll step in to resolve issues or find improvements when needed.

As a Commercial Operations Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to work on strategic projects that will shape the future way of working at fonQ, while delivering the best possible experience to our customers.

You recognize yourself in

• A university-level education (WO) with analytical mindset;
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken;

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in e-commerce, business operations or as a management consultant
• A tech-savvy mindset with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software systems and tools.

• Excellent communication skills that help you collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• An organized and structured approach to managing tasks and projects.
• A team player attitude with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
