Position Overview: Provide operational, reporting, and project support for the investment management process and our investment team. This position will provide the opportunity to gain exposure to responsible investment concepts through a broad set of sustainability activities both at the enterprise and investment portfolio levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of the flow of information, systems, and reporting tools with a focus on responsible investment.
  • Ensure the integrity and timeliness of data by maintaining, scrubbing, processing, and reconciling data (including Environmental, Social, and Governance (“ESG”)/Climate data). Investigate and resolve inquires, issues, or discrepancies.
  • Research and resolve operational and data issues with assistance from other teams within the organization.
  • Support ESG/climate data collection, validation, analysis and reporting activities.
  • Support tracking, validating, and reporting responsible investment targets or progress towards various internal and external initiatives and frameworks.
  • Complete reporting and analysis on a daily, monthly, quarterly, annually or ad hoc basis.
  • Collaborate with various investment teams and other areas of the organization to respond to requests for information including client requests and marketing materials, with a high-level of service and urgency.
  • Support front office-focused projects, such as data quality initiatives, system changes, and process improvement efforts to reduce risk and increase the quality of data provided to the investment team and used across the organization.
  • Apply analytical and financial product knowledge and judgement to team processes.
  • Document, update, and organize department processes and procedures.
  • Support regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or related field.
  • Two years of experience in the finance services industry, technical analysis, or ESG-related discipline.
  • Strong attention to detail, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness and determination to learn and improve.
  • Proficiency using MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the institutional investment industry with knowledge of investment systems, processes, and products.
  • Knowledge of or interest in learning responsible investment topics.
  • Experience with performance reporting software and business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Excel.

Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of candidate’s relevant experience and other job-related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
